Bridge and Civil were awarded the contract to replace the life-expired timber overbridge at East Bank Road, Nana Glen on the North Coast Line with a new concrete bridge.
The new structure comprises of spread footings, four Super-T girders and the re-aligning of the existing public road. To avoid local disturbance, the life expired timber bridge has been left intact until the completion of the new bridge to ensure stability and prevent erosion, access and machinery constraints. Once the new concrete structure is completed the timber bridge will be demolished by Bridge and Civil.
