Muswellbrook Noise Walls

Muswellbrook, NSW
Australian Rail Track Corporation

Under this contract, ARTC and Bridge and Civil delivered 2.4 metre high walls to reduce the noise of trains and assist in minimising the impact of noise on the community.

Muswellbrook Shire Council was granted $1.95 million from the NSW Government’s Restart NSW Resources for Regions program to undertake detailed investigation, design and construction of the noise walls.

Three walls were constructed along the rail corridor – one at Simpson Park (125m) and two, approximately 220m in length, behind the Campbell’s Corner precinct.

They’re designed to reduce the din of passing trains and minimise the effect on existing residents and businesses.
