Bridge and Civil Pty Ltd were engaged by Port Macquarie Hastings Council to manage and deliver the construction of a
new two lane concrete bridge including associated road approaches while maintaining regular traffic on Comboyne Road for the majority of the construction timeframe.
The existing single lane timber bridge (built circa 1939) is a 28.1 metre long (5.8 metre wide) single lane, three span simply supported timber girder bridge with a skew of approximately 30 degrees, located on Comboyne Road approximately 600m north of Byabarra. The existing Bridge has reached the end of its serviceable design life and required replacement.
